At Fayerweather we are committed to keeping our school affordable to families of different economic means, believing that socio-economic diversity is an important component of our mission. We work closely with each family to do our best to make tuition and a Fayerweather education within reach for as many applicants as possible. Extracurricular activities and extended care are pro-rated at approximately the same level as tuition. In the 2020-2021 school year, Fayerweather allocated more than $1,200,000 to a program of need-based tuition assistance. This year 30% of the student body will receive tuition assistance. Big Night Out Fayerweather Experience: Ghost Court, A Family Larp

What you are about to witness is real. The participants are not actors. They are the living people and ghosts who have already either filed suit or been served a summons to appear in municipal court. Both parties in the suit have agreed to dismiss their court cases and have their disputes settled here, in our forum: Ghost Court.Ghost Court is a live-action party game about spectral justice in a small claims court. Cases last a few minutes and are ridiculous. Will you be an over-the-top landlord, aggrieved at a scheduled haunting gone off the rails? Will you be a sad poltergeist who only wants to make a bad smell? In Ghost Court you might get to be both. Play focuses on a few participants at a time, as the judge and court officers hear testimony while the rest of the players take turns as plaintiffs and defendants arguing over the petty disputes between the living and the dead. September 13, 2025, adults and children welcome. A few spaces are still available, reserve your spot here.

Big Night Out Fayerweather Experience: Writing with Elizabeth B

Gather your writer friends for a personalized creative experience! In this 3-hour workshop, we will focus on the art of the short story, and participants will leave with a solid grasp of the basic elements of this genre, as well as a plan of action for crafting their own. In the first hour, we will discuss and anatomize a classic example of the form; in the second, participants will engage in guided writing prompts designed to generate ideas about character, setting, plot, tone, etc. In the third, participants will focus on narrating a scene of their own, with opportunities to share their work with the larger group. Perfect for writers at any stage looking to deepen their practice and connect with others! Join Elizabeth B at her home in Cambridge on Saturday, September 27, 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Three spots are still available, reserve your spot here.
